Transit Visa

A Transit Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for any of the following purposes:

1. Category TS (Transit): to travel in transit through Thailand in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter the applicant's own country

2. Category S (Sports): To participate in sports activities

3. Category C (Conveyance): To the person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in Thailand

Documents Required:

The applicants must submit the following relevant documents, depending on the purpose of their visit:
• Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months
• Visa Application Form completely filled out
• Two recent photograph of the applicant (3.5 X 4.5 cm)
• Instrument of means of transportation (Confirmed plane ticket, paid in full)
• Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family)
• Visa of a third country in a passport or travel document
• Letter of invitation to participate in sports (Category 'S')
• Chennai applicants in addition to the above mentioned documents have to carry self attested photocopy of application form and all other originals

Tourist Visa

A Tourist Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for the purpose of tourism.

Documents Required:

The applicants must submit the following relevant documents, depending on the purpose of their visit:
• Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months
• Visa Application Form completely filled out
• Two recent photographs of the applicant (3.5 X 4.5 cm)
• Instrument of means of transportation (Confirmed plane ticket, paid in full)
• Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family)
• Applicants in addition to the above mentioned documents have to carry self attested photocopy of application form and all other originals.
